Food was obviously precooked old and cold. Over priced, all staff were no more than high school students. Friendly but not attentive.

Nothing fancy but great food!

Had a chicken and dumplings lunch plate with three vegetables pinto beans, mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese sauce and cornbread. Kept waiting for something to taste bad couldn't find anything bad. Service was quick and the food was great.

Nothing fancy, just good basic country cooking. All the basics from biscuits and gravy to fried catfish (on Friday nights). Family run, and a whole lot of regulars keep this place friendly and down home. And you can't beat the prices!

They tske no credit/debit cards. I always forget, and it costs me an additional 3.00 to go to the bank. I placed a to go order for the special, which was hamburger steak with oniions. I got no onuons , and was short an order of cole slaw. I will never fo back!

Food is great, but they do not have a way to pay with card. So I had to find an atm and get cash out to pay for my food. A mild inconvenience I know, just wish I had known before hand.

This is a small rural diner. Their menu is not vast, nor is the interior fancy. However, what they may lack in variety or ambiance they more than make up for with quality and price! (An added bonus is you can count on catching up on the latest area gossip).

My only regret is that I can't give more stars! I eat here at least once a week. You can't beat a meat and three option for only $5.50. I can't even cook for myself for that cheap. It's not the prettiest place you will ever eat but they make up for it in great prices, home cooking, and good conversation. Make sure you take cash because they don't accept cards!

I have feeling that the type of people that go here aren't looking up reviews. In which case, I'll just be talking to myself here. Don't mind me. We were tile to seat ourselves. The place was dirty so there weren't a lot of options to sit. I finally was able to make it work between a booth and a nearby table. The staff saw me trying to figure my life out and never once volunteered to help us get seated and to clean up the previous people's mess. I asked for a decaf coffee and the waitress said she didn't have any even though it was listed on the menu. Finding the restaurant in the parking lot is an adventure as well. But besides that, the food was pretty good and so were the prices.

I went for the lunch special today and didn't even get my order right the meatloaf was bland with no ketchup on the meatloaf and the slaw w not sweet. The okra was way too salty.

This restaurant has some of the best food around the area.My food is always to order.We drive around 15 miles to get there and we go at least once or twice weekly.The atmosphere is great and we have met some great folks there over a meal.The owner and all the staff definately go above and beyond to provide great food and service.If you are any where around Chapel Hill stop by.I think you will agree.

Only thing I have to say is AMAZING FOOD AND PEOPLE

We recently moved to the area and stumbled on the Country Diner while exploring. Now it's a regular part of our Saturday mornings. Relaxed atmosphere and very welcoming, good breakfast and very affordable.

Love this place for breakfast. Haven't been for lunch or dinner yet, but breakfast is always great. It's cash only, so be prepared... but it's also cheaper than just about anywhere, (and great) so it's well worth a stop by an ATM!

Looooong wait for a couple simple breakfasts. Food was okay, nothing special.

They have the best breakfast in town. The staff is great and super sweet. We go every Saturday and their prices are low for A+ food.

So this is my first time at this restaurant. Everyone was very nice. You get a lot for a little bit of money. So, if you're driving through here make a stop. They're also accommodating. They didn't have philly steak, so they put steak in my omelet.
